Plain-language beta version. Last updated 2026-08-03.

What landsooner is — and isn't

A job-search product where every listing is confirmed open before you see it (see the limits on that claim below). We crawl employer applicant tracking systems on a schedule, apply a pre-filter based on what you told us, and score the survivors with a language model.

What we are not:

What “confirmed open” means — and its limits

When we show you a listing, it means our crawler saw it live on the employer's own applicant-tracking page as of that crawl — not that it is open at the exact second you click. We re-check regularly and pull a listing once we detect it has closed, but there is always a gap between a req closing and us noticing. If you find one that's already gone, tell us so we can close that gap faster.

We do not guarantee that any listing is open the moment you view it, that the employer will respond, or that applying leads to an interview or an offer. “Confirmed open” describes our crawl, not a live, this-instant guarantee.

Cost

landsooner is free to use during the beta. We haven't settled how it will be funded long term. If that ever changes, we'll tell you before it affects you — we won't start charging an existing account without notice and a choice.

What we don't do

Your resume

If you use “start from your resume” at signup, we read the file once, in memory, to prefill the signup form for you to review and correct. We send the extracted text to Anthropic's Claude API for that one extraction call. We do not store the file or its text afterward — only anonymous token-usage counts are recorded. See our privacy policy for the full detail on what we collect and who we send it to.

Uploading a resume is optional. You can always fill in the form by hand instead.

Supporting landsooner

You may choose to support landsooner with a voluntary contribution, processed by Stripe through a Stripe-hosted payment page. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles that entirely.

Contributions are voluntary and non-refundable, except where we agree otherwise at our discretion (for example, an obvious duplicate charge) or where the law requires a refund.

A contribution buys you nothing. It does not unlock any feature, priority scoring, faster crawling, additional listings, or any form of premium access, and it does not move your profile ahead of anyone else's. No listing is ever boosted because of a payment — a contribution changes none of that. If we ever build a paid tier, it will be a separate, clearly-labeled product, never something a contribution quietly buys its way into.

Feedback

If you submit feedback through the site, it's stored tied to your account so we can follow up if useful. We read every submission. We may act on it — to fix bugs, prioritise features, or improve matching — and we may quote it, without your name or email, if we ever write publicly about the product.

Please don't put anything sensitive in a feedback message — health information, government IDs, financial account numbers, or similar. We don't need it and we're not set up to handle it as sensitive data. Treat the feedback box the way you'd treat an email to a small team, because that's what it is: one person, reading it directly.

Feedback tied to your account is deleted along with everything else if you delete your account.

Acceptable use

Your account

You can delete your account at any time via the account page. Deletion removes your profile, your match history, your listing statuses, your sign-in records, and any feedback you've submitted. It doesn't undo an application you already made directly with an employer, because we were never part of that. See the privacy policy for full retention detail.

We may terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we suspect are bot traffic.

You accept these terms and our privacy policy by checking the box at signup. If we materially change either document, we'll ask you to accept again the next time you visit before you can keep using your account. Until you do, your digest and your application tracking pause — but nothing is deleted, and you can still reach your account page, these policies, and the feedback form. If you'd rather not accept, you can delete your account instead.

No warranties

This is a beta product. Listings might be stale, matches might be off, the service might go down. We do our best but can't guarantee you'll find a job or that any specific listing is exactly as described.

You use landsooner at your own risk. We are not liable for decisions you make based on what we show you, including whether to apply for a job, whether to accept an offer, or anything else.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of landsooner. Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at the greater of $50 or the total amount you have paid or contributed to us in the past 12 months.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a minor way (a typo, a clarification), the “last updated” date at the top changes and that's it. If we change them materially — anything that changes what data we collect, what we do with it, or your rights — we'll ask you to actively accept the new version the next time you visit before you can keep using your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's home jurisdiction (USA). Disputes go through informal resolution first; if that fails, courts of that jurisdiction.

Your data rights (EU/UK/California and elsewhere)

If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you may have specific statutory rights — access, correction, portability, or objection to certain processing — beyond delete-my-account. We're a one-person beta operation without a formal rights-request portal, so email stevenwellman@gmail.com and we'll work through it manually. See the privacy policy for more.
